Material and Corrosion Resistance: Made of malleable cast iron, the cross inherently possesses excellent compressive strength and toughness. Surface treatment options include galvanizing (preferred for corrosion protection in most applications), black plating (lower-cost, suitable for dry, non-corrosive environments), and varnishing (provides basic corrosion protection). The choice depends on the conveying medium and environmental conditions.
The application scenarios for crosses are relatively specialized and focused. It is commonly used in fire sprinkler system networks, which require a symmetrical layout, compressed air distribution networks within industrial plants, and water supply networks within large buildings, ensuring balanced fluid distribution.
